DELL Vostro 15-3559 Replacing HD to FHD display Succeeded !

I took over a Laptop PC, Vostro 15-3556 HD model.

And, this is the Specs about this PC.
・CPU 6th Gen Intel Core i5 6200U.
・Memory 8GB （4GB x 2）.
・Display 15.6inch 1366 x 768 （WXGA） TN.

TN display is narrow view angle. So, I wanted to replace this HD TN display to FHD IPS Panel. But, only replacing Display don't work...

And I found that the eDP cable causes Replacing to FHD Problem.

Conclusion.

　Vostro 15-3559 HD PC needs eDP cable for FHD (2lanes).

　So, I bought a Repair Parts for FHD model's eDP cable。

Needed Parts.

・15.6inch FHD Display Panel for Vostro 3559 （Even if you have FHD Panel that have 30pin connector, probably not for Vostro series doesn't work well.）
・Vostro 15-3559 eDP Cable for FHD（This is the most Important part.）

I bought it at AliExpress

　After about 2 weeks after Purchasing this eDP cable for FHD at AliExpress, it Arrived.


　About 12 dollars. This product may also be sold at other stores.

So hard to replace eDP cable.

　Almost all parts's disassemble is needed for replacing.


　I reffered this Youtube Video for disassembling Vostro 15-3559.

　eDP cable is for Display and Camera connection above display.


　There are Old one and New (for FHD) one.


This (FHD) is Important.

I bought FHD Display Panel for Vostro 15-3559 series too.

Just Replaced and Power On !

After Replacing eDP cable and FHD Display Panel, Vostro recognized a new settings about Display Resolution.

And it workd well !

I know that Lenovo PCs have eDP cable for FHD even in HD models. Maybe, DELL did something stingy.

Replacing eDP cable is complicated.
